Procurement of brand expertise

Process management of the procurement of parallel framework agreements related to brand strategy, corporate design and marketing communications development in Bane NOR

Reflections

In a design process, it is crucial to define the criteria for what needs to be solved before starting the actual task. The same applies to a procurement process. To assess and evaluate suppliers, applications, and bids, you must know the criteria against which they will be evaluated.
Bane NOR’s procurement team was highly thorough, establishing clear evaluation criteria before publishing the tender documents. This ensured an objective and efficient evaluation process.

– A professional design process in practice!

The Process

The procurement process was conducted in two stages: supplier pre-qualification (Stage 1) and the competitive bidding process (Stage 2). Within this framework, an implementation plan was developed in collaboration with the contract advisor, where the first phase focused on establishing the procurement team, decision-makers, and process.

STAGE 1: IDENTIFY NEEDS AND PREPARE THE COMPETITION

  • Procurement strategy

  • Gather supporting documents

  • Assess needs

  • Draft qualification and competition documents

  • Issue invitation to tender

STAGE 2: EXECUTE THE COMPETITION

  • Evaluate bids

  • Select supplier, negotiate, and finalize agreements

  • Assess the competition

Approach

For the most precise description of tasks and scope, clear boundaries were established between the announcements – and to other framework agreements that are professionally adjacent to these.
